Good For Nothing is organised several times a year by the Pipeline Project to answer creative communication briefs at speed. An eclectic group of creatives, strategists, designers and developers are invited to leave their egos and diva behaviour at the door in order to deliver ideas and solutions to grassroots organisations in a limited amount of time.

At the first event in December 2010, around 60 people donated 24 hours of their weekend to work on briefs from three innovative non-profits : Good Gym, Global Generation and The Great Football Giveaway. Since then, GFN projects have been as varied as spending four hours with design students at the Truman Brewery, to one day at Innocent Drinks, to 48 hours working with local charities in Gloucestershire.

The success of GFN projects is predicated on having a room full of talented people who love a good challenge. They are motivated through freedom from conventional work structures, and thrive under pressure. The teams are asked only to abide by three simple GFN principles : doing not talking ; collaborate and experiment ; support the true innovators.
