Among the highlights and distractions, Jeremy Scott’s show at Milk Studios on February 13th will likely be one of the more memorable events. For a sparking and refreshing dose of Jeremy in advance, visit 372 Broome Street in NoLita. In a beautiful showroom, an exhibition presents the smart forjeremy electric drive launched in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. visitors can get a closer look at the winged concept car, snap photos and watch a short film featuring Jeremy Scott explaining his vision and documenting the design process. If you get there a bit late — or early — don’t worry. You can see the car through the window at any time.
Rising art star Aakash Nihalani started the hashtag ‘#smartforjeremy’ and created a tape art wall installation for the Nolita exhibition in his very own, quasi-three-dimensional style. Known in the street art community for his fluorescent tape installations, Nihalani combines a bright color palette with geometric, abstract shapes. Nihalani just held his first solo show, Portal, at Jonathan Levine Gallery in Chelsea and is on his way to gaining quite the international reputation.
Enjoy a glimpse of the smart forjeremy exhibition here, and make sure to come by 372 Broome Street if you are in New York.
